Serves: 6
Prep: 5 minutes; cook time: 30 minutes
Here’s what you’ll need:
2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cups water
3/4 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cold water
Directions:
In a Dutch oven, cook beef and chopped onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain…. by the way…we LOVE ONIONS!!
Add the water…..
Ketchup…..
Worcestershire sauce…..
Paprika…..
Sugar…..
Salt…..
Ground mustard…..
Garlic powder…..
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine flour and cold water until smooth…..
Stir into the meat mixture…..
Bring to a boil and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with pasta of your choice! We chose to use small shell pasta!
