Quick and Easy BBQ Sauce

BBQ sauce is always a “go-to” sauce for me whether it’s for French fries, burgers, ribs, chops, chicken, etc. I love this recipe because it’s quick and easy (hence the title). This sauce has a little tang but you can adjust it if you want! It’s also great for going the “healthy” route (baking BBQ chicken) which is what I did this evening. Please enjoy!

Makes: 2 cups

Here’s what you’ll need:

BBQ Sauce

2 Tbsp butter

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 cup ketchup

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/4-1/3 cup chili sauce (depends on your preference of “tang”)

2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 Tbsp celery seed

1 Tbsp prepared mustard

1/2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp black pepper

hot sauce to taste

In a large saucepan, melt butter and add all ingredients…..

BBQ Sauce 2

Bring to a boil, stirring constantly…..

BBQ Sauce 3

Remove from heat and set aside…..I applied this tasty sauce to some chicken breasts….Mmm!

BBQ Sauce 5

This sauce is thick and rich and I store it in the fridge in a mason jar. 🙂
